Revolving Loan Fund - NDPDD is currently operating four loan programs: the Economic Development Administration (EDA) loan program, the Minority Business Enterprise (MBA) loan program, the Mississippi Small Business Assistance (MSBA) loan program, and the Rural Development Intermediary Relending loan program. These four programs combined have injected a total of $7.2 million into our service area in the past twelve years. Click here for applications.

 

Homeownership Center - NDPDD provides housing counseling for homebuyers to shop for a home, get a mortgage loan, improve their budget and credit profiles, and maintain their home and finances (Pre and post purchase counseling).

 

Housing Construction & Rehabilitation - North Delta PDD  administers a Housing Preservation Grant program for Tunica County. To date, Tunica County has injected $700,000 with two grants from USDA/Rural Development totaling $156,090. A total of thirty-one houses have been rehabilitated with two newly constructed houses. An additional twenty-five houses will be rehabilitated or constructed in 2003. Tunica County will provide an additional $500,000 toward the project.

 

Elderly & Mentally Challenged Adult Services - DeSoto and Tunica Counties provide local homemaker services, congregate and home delivered meals (Tunica) and transportation (DeSoto) to the elderly, disabled and mentally challenged adult persons in their respective counties. These services are an addition to the regular Area Agency on Aging services. Both counties contribute over 1.1 million dollars to these programs on a yearly basis.

 

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) - NDPDD has utilized its Geographic Information System to perform a variety of services in the district such as land use analysis and mapping, demographic and economic development analysis, solid waste management, public safety, etc.
